About Us

We have been very busy planning the wedding and working out future details of where we will be beginning our lives together. Here is a little information about us and what are plans are.

Kenneth Brian Anderson (18/12/81)

Ken was born and raised in Windsor Ontario.  He grew up on the west side of Windsor with his mom, Gail. Throughout high school, he played Ontario Varsity football as well as with his high school team. He attended the University of Windsor with a focus on Criminology and Sociology. He applied for Customs in his year after graduation and went off to Quebec for training. He has been working for Customs for the last two years. He is stationed here in Windsor and enjoys keeping our borders safe “one truck at a time”. In his spare time he enjoys watching various sporting events, including football and hockey. He plays Ultimate Frisbee every Wednesday.

Jessica Lousie Cavanaugh ( 1/3/84)

Jessica is an Essex County kid. She started her life down the street from Ken on the West end of Windsor. At the age of 11, her family moved to Kingsville Ontario. She spent most of her weekends, practicing her barrel racing skills and working around the farm. She also attended the University of Windsor in the Concurrent Education and Early Childhood Program. After graduation, she moved to Melbourne Australia with a camp friend. She returned a year later.  Jessica works with preschoolers in a local Daycare centre. She enjoys the work very much, but is hoping to get a teaching job within the next couples years. She is even expanding her search north. In her spare time, she enjoys quilting and tanning with her turtle, Squirt.

Proposal (4/24/10)

Ken proposed to Jessica on April 24, 2010. They had planned a weekend to Toronto for a few months to attend an insect and reptile show.  After booking a hotel downtown Toronto, Ken decided to make some reservations for dinner at some restaurants Steven (one of Ken’s co-workers/ friend) suggested. Jessica thought it was a great idea. At work, her co-worker Stacey was positive that Ken was going to propose but Jessica was very skeptical.

After their first night in Toronto, they returned to their hotel and little to Ken’s surprise Jessica fell asleep.  In the morning, Ken woke up early and headed out to get breakfast at a local cafe.  After breakfast was finished, Ken told Jessica, he had a present for her. Jessica was a little unsure why he had gotten her a present, but she gladly accepted it. Ken had bought her a picture album with photos of their day in Muir Woods, San Francisco. Jessica was a little unsure of what the present was for, so she thought nothing of it. Ken asked Jessica if she was disappointed, and she said she wasn’t. He told her he put those pictures in there because that was her favourite day of them together, and he hoped she could fill it with more favourite days.

He said he had one more small thing for him and put the ring box on the bed. Jessica was taken back, and said “What is that??” Ken replied that it was a box and she should open it. Jessica did so, and when she pulled out the ring she couldn’t believe her eyes. She then repeated herself “What is that?” Ken said “It’s a ring. Will you marry me?” And of course Jessica said yes.

After the wedding, we will be hoping to settle down with a house of our own. We are currently working on where the location of this house will be, but at least we have the same taste in what it will look it. We also are hoping to travel to Thailand as a cool honeymoon trip within the next couple of years.
